Hey everyone!! It has been a crazy past few weeks figuring these new chances out but now I got some time to tell you guys all bout it!ย  So training camp was so healing and freeing way more than I ever expected. It wasnโ€™t just a time of preparation, but a place where God started something deep in me. I learned so much about my identity in Him, who He says I am, not what the world tries to name me. He reminded me just how deep and overwhelming His love is for all of us. He is still teaching to KNOWย  his love in my heart rather then KNOW it in my head. I came out of camp with a lighter heart, a clearer purpose, and a soul more open to being led by Him.

Then came Guatemala! ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡น We spent a night sleeping in the airport and somehow it was such aย  fun night and such a goofy experience.

Weโ€™re partnering with a local ministry called Hope, and itโ€™s been so special getting to serve alongside them. Whether weโ€™re playing soccer with kids, doing VBS, making house visits, or teaching English classes, thereโ€™s been a constant theme of joy, connection, and learning. Every interaction with the kids and people feels like a reminder of why weโ€™re here. Another thing hope is passionate about is, intercession. It has been so eye opening to see this happen. In our house we have a prayer room where we pray and interceded. God has been teaching me how important it is to spend time in prayer,ย  praying for others.ย

Weโ€™ve also been soaking in the culture, from the vibrant colors and beautiful scenery to the delicious food.ย  Every meal feels like a chance to bond, learn, and celebrate this new place we get to call home for a while.

One of the sweetest parts of this experience so far has been our team. Weโ€™re getting to know each other more every day, through deep conversations, shared struggles, laughter, and goofy moments. Itโ€™s clear God handpicked this group for a reason.

That said, adjusting hasnโ€™t been entirely smooth. Iโ€™m learning what it means to let go of control, especially when it comes to simple things like when we eat or how plans are made. Back home, Iโ€™m used to eating when Iโ€™m hungry or making my own schedule. Here, itโ€™s about community over convenience, and while itโ€™s stretching me, I know itโ€™s good. Itโ€™s only week one, and thereโ€™s so much still to learn.

Thanks for following along, canโ€™t wait to keep sharing what God is doing. Keep us in your prayers as we continue this journey, and if you ever get the chance to step out of your comfort zone like thisโ€ฆ do it. You wonโ€™t come back the same.

With love, Kayla
